Brad and Marilyn Rhoads (Co-founders of Grace Marriage):
Brad Rhoads graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Furman University and played on the varsity tennis team. He graduated Order of the Coif (top 10%) from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
Brad practiced law at a large firm in Nashville, TN before starting Rhoads and Rhoads Owensboro in 1996. He practiced law at Rhoads and Rhoads until 2015 when he transitioned to full-time work for Grace Marriage. While practicing law, Brad had the privilege of serving as Special Justice on the Kentucky Supreme Court and being appointed by the Kentucky Supreme Court to the Bar Admissions Committee.
Brad was ordained as Pastor of Marriage at his local church in 2011 and has served in that role ever since. Brad has pursued further education in marriage and the family through conferences, reading and auditing several seminary courses.
Brad writes materials, leads marriage groups, leads marriage conferences and has developed Grace Marriage Coaching. Brad has been married to Marilyn Hudson Rhoads for 20 years and has five children.
Marilyn Rhoads graduated with a psychology degree from Lipscomb University and got her Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana. Marilyn ran on the cross country team at Lipscomb and graduated University of Southern Indiana with a 4.0.
Marilyn counseled with children at Counseling Associates in Owensboro, KY before deciding to use her talents at home raising five children.
Marilyn has been married to Brad for over 20 years and works with Grace Marriage assisting in writing, editing, speaking and leading marriage groups and marriage conferences. She continues to spend most of her time staying home with their four daughters and one son.
Reneah Monanteras – Administrative Assistant
Reneah and her husband, Jim, have three children and live in Owensboro, KY. Reneah went through the marriage intensive and coaching and felt led to use her talents to help the coaching reach more people. Initially, Reneah administered the coaching program at Pleasant Valley Community Church. She did such a great job with it that Grace Marriage hired her to help other churches implement the program effectively. Reneah has been working with Grace Marriage since Brad transitioned into full-time work with Grace Marriage.
Hannah Goebel – Director of Operations
Hannah Goebel resides in Owensboro, KY with her husband, Bobby, and their 3 children. Hannah graduated from the University of Kentucky (Go CATS!) and brings to Grace Marriage a background of working in the ministry as Executive Director of the Care Net Pregnancy Center of Owensboro. In her role at Care Net, Hannah saw 1st hand the impact broken marriages has on societal issues and wants marriage to again become the bedrock of communities. Grace Marriage allows her to help you, your spouse, and church bring glory to the name of Jesus through marriage enrichment.
Jeremy Bennett – Director of Support & Media Services
Jeremy and his wife Rachel have two sons and serve our community through fostering. Jeremy’s background is in operations management, as well as graphic design, and has been helping Grace Marriage in design and planning since inception. After seeing the impact of the quarterly coaching on his own marriage, Jeremy is committed to support churches in their endeavor to implement ongoing and effective marriage ministries and to see more couples enrich, protect and grow their marriages.
Brian J. Crall – Board Member of Grace Marriage
Brian Crall is President and owner of foreClarity!, LLC. The company was formed in 2012 and specializes in executive development, organizational development , strategic planning and public policy development. He was a member of the MainSource Financial Group Board of Directors from 2005-2015, serving as Lead Director from 2011-2015. From 2009 to 2012 Mr. Crall was the Chief Executive Officer of CMD Holding, LLC, the holding company for CMD Health, Inc., a health insurance company, and ClubMD, LLC, a series of primary care medical homes. From July 2008 to March 2009, Mr. Crall served as the Resource Director for the YMCA of the USA. Mr. Crall also served as the Personnel Cabinet Secretary for the Commonwealth of Kentucky from June 2006 to January 2007 and the Deputy Secretary of the Executive Cabinet, Office of the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, from April 2004 to June 2006. Throughout his career he has been involved in multiple civic and charitable organizations. He has also served as a teacher and leader in churches he has attended. Brian and his family have been close friends to the founders of Grace Marriage for many years. His experience, vision and friendship are great gifts to our team.
Doug Hignell – Board Member of Grace Marriage
Doug Hignell is President of Hignell Companies. He is a lover of God, the husband of an awesome woman, father of five and grandfather of 9. He is the CEO of Hignell Companies which has approximately 180 employees. He holds his MS, MBA and PhD from Stanford University. Doug has played an integral part in the spiritual formation of the founders of Grace Marriage and in the formation and influence of Grace Marriage itself.
Jon Gibson – Board Member of Grace Marriage
Jon is the President of Jon Gibson Company, is a real estate developer who has developed residential and business properties covering more than 1,000 acres in eight cities over the last 35+ years.
Serving on the founding board of “Family Talk with Dr. James Dobson,” Jon possesses the heart of a philanthropist and a passion to preserve the traditional family. About the only activity this former U.S. Air Force pilot loves more than flying is helping the family and “at risk” youth. Recognizing the plight of orphans in Romania, Jon is an advocate for children of Romanian as Chairman of the Board for Open Arms Romania (www.openarmsromania.org). Jon and Marylois, his bride of 44 years, are the proud parents of two incredible children and five adorable grandchildren. Jon and Marylois live near Sacramento, CA with horses and a dog that’s the size of a horse. Jon and Brad Rhoads met through Christian mentoring and in helping establish the Christian Association of Youth Mentoring.
